Due to the ongoing concern revolving around COVID-19. Wake Forest Animal Hospital will be implementing additional safety protocols within our hospital effective March 17th, 2020. After much thought and consideration, we have decided to create a more controlled environment to minimize or even eliminate client or staff health risks.

All scheduled appointments will be directed to text or call our office to notify us, from the clinic’s parking lot, that you are here. The receptionist will then notify the technician of your arrival. Once the technician prepares/cleans the exam room, you will receive a text or call from us asking you to meet one of our staff members at the front door.

All Surgical appointments will be contacted the day before with special instructions.

When calling to make an appointment, you will be given three choices

1 – You can drop off your pet 

2- You can wait in the car while we examine or treat your pet 

3- You can wait in the car until we either text or call you so you can meet one of our staff members at the front door so we can then place you in one of our clean exam rooms ( this option is for euthanasias only). Mask will be required at the time of visit.

If you have an appointment but feeling under the weather, please let us know so we can reschedule your appointment for a later date. If rescheduling is not an option, we will guide you through some additional protocols and safety measures to accommodate and meet your veterinary needs during your visit.

Once the visit has been completed, the veterinarian will call to discuss the medical findings and treatment plan if needed. Payments will be made over the phone until further notice.

We respectfully ask to please minimize the amount of people you bring to the appointment.

We are asking all of our clients to please submit all prescription refill requests through our app. This is the most effective way to request prescription refills during this difficult times. If you have an obstacle or difficulties downloading our app, you can also text,email or call us with your order.

We kindly ask all clients to give us 24 hours to prepare your order. When the medication is ready, one of our receptionists will call to inform you that the prescription is ready for pick-up and to collect payment over the phone.
Once here for pick-up, please text or call us from the clinic’s parking lot. we will then direct you as to how to proceed.
